Co-Founder & Principal

Prior to co-founding Rampart, Ryan worked as an Associate attorney at Katten Muchin Rosenman, LLP where he represented institutional investors and individual owners in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing of office buildings, hotels, warehouses, and mixed-use development projects. He also represented a large REIT specializing in ground lease transactions. Ryan has expertise in conducting title, survey, zoning, and environmental due diligence. After graduating from Georgetown University and American University Washington College of Law, Ryan served in the Army as a Judge Advocate (JAG) where he represented Soldiers and advised Commanders.

Co-Founder & Principal

Prior to co-founding Rampart, Bill was a member of SL Green Realty Corp’s Investments Team, where he executed a number of equity and debt investments across a diverse range of product types, including office, retail, multifamily, residential condominium, and industrial. Before his time at SL Green, Bill worked at Lazard in the Investment Banking Group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Bill is a former United States Marine Corps logistics officer with deployments to Afghanistan and Jordan serving as a platoon commander, staff officer, and foreign military advisor. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy.

Vice President

Prior to joining Rampart, Drew spent nearly five years at Ernst & Young where he worked as a Senior Consultant in the Quantitative Advisory Services practice focusing on the valuation and review of OTC derivative products across asset classes. Drew also directed the delivery of hedge effectiveness services to EY’s audit Clients and was the senior team member advising Clients on the industry standards and leading practices for hedge accounting programs. He is a graduate of Miami University with a double major in accounting and finance and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New Jersey.

Vice President

Prior to joining Rampart, Jon earned his MBA at Harvard Business School, where he focused on finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship. He spent his business school internship working for a modular building manufacturing start-up, assisting with process improvement and financial analysis. Before business school, Jon served in the United States Navy as a carrier-based F/A-18 pilot, TOPGUN instructor, and operations/training officer, completing deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He graduated with distinction from the United States Naval Academy with a major in Naval Architecture.

Associate

Prior to joining Rampart in April 2023, Ben worked at NewPoint Real Estate Capital as an Underwriting Associate in the Proprietary Lending group focusing on transitional bridge transactions and preferred equity products for multifamily properties across the country. Before his time at NewPoint, Ben worked for nearly five years at Freddie Mac where he underwrote conventional, supplemental, and lease-up multifamily loans. He is a graduate of Miami University with a major in finance.
